Busy Night at Ruthin AllStyles
Another good turn out at the club with no fewer than fifteen singers/musicians and a good number in the audience too.
As well and many of the usual suspects, we were pleased to see the Caerwys contingent back at the club. Gill and Ian gave a lovely selection of songs from Dusty Springfield, Randy Crawford and Beth Nielsen Chapman. Stuart’s contribution included a Welsh lullaby contrasted with “In the Jailhouse Now”.
Barry went electric with “Mr Dream Seller” before taking us through the “Streets of London” having been inspired following a recent trip to the Sidmouth festival where he and Cath saw Ralph McTell live in concert.
Other highlights of the evening came from Mark with a John Lennon classic, Harry was on top blue form with a set that included Shilo, and Richard got us “Lost in Rock n’ Roll”.
The evening was steered by Lynda who took on the roll of M.C.
