Kieran Halpin Showcase plus Floor Spots

If the measure of a songwriter is the number of artists singing their songs – then Kieran Halpin must be considered a great modern writer of songs.

There can be few writers on the acoustic/folk scene today who have had more songs covered. Names like Ilse De Lange(All The Answers), Vin Garbutt, Dolores Keane, The Battlefield Band, John Wright, Flossie, Niamh Parsons, Chris Jones and countless more have recorded his songs.

In fact his songs can be heard in folk clubs, pubs and festivals all over the world sung by the famous and not so famous. Hardly a month goes by without a few Kieran Halpin songs being sung at Ruthin AllStyles Folk & Acoustic Club and the neighbouring clubs in Wrexham, Rhyl and Conwy.

Our little club has fast become a firm favourite in the music lovers’ calendar, attracting performers and audience members from all over the Vale of Clwyd and beyond.

So this is an evening not to be missed, for in addition to Kieran’s mid-evening Showcase and the extended finale spots, a whole host of AllStyles regulars will be providing a broad mix from Folk to Blues to R&B, from Country to Celtic to Charts.

Visitors are very welcome.  So do come along to join is for a great evening’s entertainment. And of course there is always a bottle of wine to be won in our raffle!
