Merry Hell – SOLD OUT

If someone utters the words “folk rock at its very best” you just know they are talking about Merry Hell.

This popular Lancashire based band went down a storm when they last visited Ruthin AllStyles back in November 2015.

The Wigan born Kettle Brothers: John, Andrew and Bob (guitar, vocals and Mandolin, respectively) plus John’s wife Virginia who alternates on lead vocals with Andrew, produce up-beat, uplifting music with catchy lyrics that have you singing along before the song is half through.

Their act is rocky and full of fun and humour yet, in true folk tradition, each song has an evocative tale to tell. Many carry a strong underlying message. Protest songs – but without the gloom.

The evening will begin with a round of floor spots by a variety of local singers who will deliver a broad mix of Folk, Blues, R&B and Country, followed by two fabulous 45 minute sets from our guest.

The venue
The function room at The Feathers Inn is ‘seated with tables’. A lovely intimate atmosphere, where you will be ‘up close and personal’ with this fabulous band. There is a separate well stocked bar with fine wines and guest ales. Disabled access and plenty of nearby parking. And if you want to stay over, The Feathers also has beautifully appointed rooms available at very reasonable prices.
