This is it folks… Ruthin Festival week has begun!
It kicked off Sunday evening with an open mic event at the Boar’s Head where our own Chris Birchall and his son Isaac both did spots, and all this week (28th June – 5th July) there will be festivities at various venues throughout the town.
All leading up to Festival Day itself on Saturday where the traditional “Top of Town” event will run from noon until midnight. There will be a covered open air stage on the town square with a whole host of bands and performers, including Isaac.
Our very own Music club at the Cross Keys Inn is featured in the Festival programme as one of the attractions for Thursday 3rd July. It will be a regular club evening for singers and poets, but with the distinct possibility of our usual audience being swelled by like-minded festival goers.
It would be great to see as many of our regulars as possible turning up to provide entertainment and generate some good positive publicity for the club.
Hope to see you all there.

(Please note: At first glance, the festival website appears to have only a single page with a simple list of the events. You have to click the “Cymraeg” or “English” links to actually find the proper pages with the full details of what is going on!)
