Singer’s Night 26th Feb
We had Beatles from Joe who paid homage to Woman. And we had Beatles from Stephen who took us down Penny Lane before telling us all about A Day in the Life…
Mark went all ‘Kinky’ with Lola and Chris quoted Dylan to tell us Things Have Changed.
With a few of the regulars away there were a couple of impromptu pairings. Ros delivered a couple of ballads accompanied by Emyr on electric piano and Enid teamed up with Mick for a couple of numbers with the versatile Jabberwocky bass man providing acoustic guitar accompaniment for their duets.

We had another new face at the club this week too. Tim has recently moved up from Carmarthenshire to live in Clawddnewydd and popped in to see what Ruthin AllStyles was all about. He came unarmed but we soon found a guitar for him and were treated to an excellent set.
Hopefully he enjoyed playing as much as we enjoyed listening and that we’ll see him slowly become of of our regulars.
It was lovely to see Dawn and Alan making a welcome return to the club. It was their first visit since we moved venue and it was as if they’d never been away. They played a lovely couple of sets. The highlight for me was their version of Autumn Leaves, played as a tribute to the late Bryn Roberts.
Their Thursday commitments have changed recently, so it would be fabulous to think we might be seeing more of them.
It’s Singer’s Night again next week and then the week after we have RAG MAMA RAG here to entertain us. If you missed their visit a couple of years back you can read all about them here.
