This was one of those nights when you turn up to find only half a dozen people in the room and you start thinking “Big Brother and the Footy” have won!
Then all of a sudden we’ve got Tom and Linda, Richard, Stephen, Joe, John and Ros. Then Mark (we obviously didn’t scare him off last week!) turned up and so did Mick, Bryn and John Bass.
It was good to see Cath in the audience again too. She promised to play next time, but last night introduced Andy Whatling to the delights of Ruthin AllStyles. Andy sings in the Chester based band “The Crates” and treated us to a brilliant acapella version of one of their songs “Blessed”. Check out their web site.
Mark gave a plug (pun intended) to a new Plug and Play night at the Cons Club, the first being on Friday June 20th. Kath Evans reminded us that next Monday (9th June) Wellcomme, Finnan and Chrimes are on at the Willows club in Llandegla.
And finally Stephen reissued the open invitation for members to come along to entertain at the Cross Keys during this Saturday’s Hiraethog Pubs Festival aka the Ale Trail.
Live music from 1.00pm until 10.00pm. Open Mic format. All are welcome. See you there!
