Singers’ Night June 16th
Despite it being a quieter night, due to a few members being on holiday or otherwise engaged, we still managed to muster a thirteen-strong line-up of performers at The Feathers’ function room.
In addition to solo spots by all the usual suspects, there were a couple of collaborations, including Geoff Durno being joined by Tom and Richard Ruthin, and Robin Spreckley who was joined by Steve Jukes-Hughes. The latter duo having named their musical partnership “Rags to Reggae”.
It was great to see Wendy and Richard returning to the club now that their Thursday rehearsals with the Harmony Singers have come to an end. So to make the most of their first time back at The Feathers, post pandemic, we got them to open both the first and second halves of the evening …and then squeezed them in for the final song of the night.
On the subject of the Harmony Singers, their shows at the St. John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno, are on every Monday night until September 26th (except for 25th July and 1st August when the church will be hosting an exhibition). These excellent concerts raise money for local charities and are well worth a visit.
